De betoverende Afina
Kurilian Bobtails! Dat is zo'n geweldig kattenras ;)
Hoewel ze nog niet zo heel erg bekend zijn in de wereld, trekken ze nu al de speciale aandacht en grote interesse van de kattenliefhebbers en fokkers.
En werkelijk, ze zijn heel bijzonder met hun gedraaide korte staart, die in eender welke richting kan wijzen en zo anders toont dan bij andere ketten.
Maar ook hun vacht - die laat een onverwachte mengeling van verschillend kleuren en tonen zien dat het soms wel een regenboog lijkt.
Het beste voorbeeld is dit prachtige kitten Afrina van de Oekrainse cattery "Kuryan Snow".
Zij is een geweldige fokpoes voor die fokkers, die verliefd kunnen raken op deze betoverende poezen

Kurilian Bobtails! They are such fantastic cats!
Being not well-known yet in the world they are already attract special attention and great interest of the cat-lovers and breeders.
And really they are very special with their very short curved tails, which can be directed to any sides and look differently at different cats.
Also their coat - they may demonstrate such unexpected combinations of different colors and tones that sometimes resemble the rainbow.
The best example is such a beautiful kitten Afina from the Ukrainian cattery "Kuryan Snow".
She will be a perfect breeding cat for those breeders who fall in love with these magic cats :)

Kurillian Bagira verwacht ....
Ondertussen wachten wij ongeduldig op de komst van ons nieuwe, prachtige meisje.
Zij is een Kurillian Bobtail.
Dit ras is bekend om zijn hoge intelligentie en toewijding naar de mensen. Zij kunnen net als een hond worden getraind.
"Deze kat is oorspronkelijk van de Kuril Islands. Kort- of langharig, hij heeft een enigzins kort gedrongen lichaam en een specifieke korte, pluizige staart. Het achterlichaam staat iets gebogen omhoog en de achterbenen zijn langer dan de voorbenen
In het wild is deze kat een uitstekend visser en jager, wat dan ook verklaart waarom de Kuril graag in water speelt. Mensen die in 'Kunashir' wonen, melden dat beren op de vlucht slaan voor deze kat. De Kurilian's wilde look is niet terug te vinden in het temperament van het ras. Het staat bekend om zijn knappe en zachte aard.
Er zijn half langhaar en korthaar Kurillians. Alle kleuren zonder Colorpoint en solide zijn toegelaten" (wikipedia vertaling)

Meanwhile we are impatiently awaiting for the arrival of our new beautiful girl Bagira.
She is a Kurillian Bobtail.
This breed is known for their high intelligence and devotion to the people. They are able to be trained like dogs.
"This cats originating from the Kuril Islands. Short- or long-haired, it has a semi-cobby body type and a distinct short, fluffy tail. The back is slightly arched with hind legs longer than the front.
In the wild this cat is an excellent fisherman and hunter, which may explain why the Kuril loves to play in water. People who live in Kunashir report that bears will run away from this cat. The Kurilian's wild look is not reflected in the temperament of the breed. It is known for its clever and gentle nature.
They are Semi-Longhair and Shorthair kurilian. All colors without Colorpoint and solid are allowed." (wikipedia)

One day with a half...
About two days old the kittens look much bigger and stronger.
Beata doesn't leave them alone even for a moment. She devotedly takes care of the babies and feed them.

Hurrah! :)
This night Beata timely delivered five beautiful babies.
Two of them were born at the end of the 8.02 and the three other at the beginning of 9.02.
According the first inspection there are two girls and three boys.
All the babies are equal in weight - 100g - and actively suck milk.
It is a great pleasure to watch them all together with their wonderful Mom :)

In expectation...
Beata prepares for the soon birth of her babies.
Due to the big belly she can not jump like usually, although still endeavors to play by chasing the little balls.
Mainly she lays on the floor or in her basket, sleeping or watching around and preparing her nipples for the babies. She already has a lot of milk.
We await this coming event with great excitement.
